The A/C Estimator will play a crucial role in our Estimation Department, contributing to the accurate and efficient estimation of A/C projects. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of A/C systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The A/C Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and competitive estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, codes, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Evaluation: Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of HVAC projects.
- Estimation: Utilize industry-standard estimating software and methodologies to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects.
- Material and Labor Analysis: Analyze materials, labor, and equipment requirements for HVAC projects, considering cost factors, supplier quotes, and historical data.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring all relevant information is included, and deadlines are met.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the project management and engineering teams to gather necessary information and insights for accurate estimations.
- Cost Negotiation: Engage in cost negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to inform estimation strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all estimation-related activities and correspondence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an A/C Estimator in the industry sector.
- Proficiency in A/C estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
