A/C Estimator

The A/C Estimator will play a crucial role in our Estimation Department, contributing to the accurate and efficient estimation of A/C projects. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of A/C systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. The A/C Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and competitive estimates for HVAC projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, codes, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Evaluation: Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope of HVAC projects.
2. Estimation: Utilize industry-standard estimating software and methodologies to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC projects.
3. Material and Labor Analysis: Analyze materials, labor, and equipment requirements for HVAC projects, considering cost factors, supplier quotes, and historical data.
4. Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, ensuring all relevant information is included, and deadlines are met.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with the project management and engineering teams to gather necessary information and insights for accurate estimations.
6. Cost Negotiation: Engage in cost negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
7. Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to inform estimation strategies.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all estimation-related activities and correspondence.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an A/C Estimator in the industry sector.
3. Proficiency in A/C estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
4. Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
7. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
